Dot NAME Domains

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME generic extension is the only one intended for personal websites only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. At first, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to secure john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken 3rd-level domain names remained online.

Through our firm, you can secure your dot NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to alter the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finished. There are no specific stipulations on who can acquire a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the concept behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.

The dot NAME generic domain name extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the proper spelling in your local language.
