A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to inactive email addresses under the same domain. For instance, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be exceptionally easy if you have a Linux shared website hosting with us. You can enable this feature through our advanced, yet user-friendly Email Manager tool, which is an integral part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will administer your web hosting account. You’ll find all the email addresses that you have set up enumerated in alphabetical order and to the right of each one there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately inform you whether a specific mailbox receives all the emails for a given domain name or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option at any moment. If there is active email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a given domain, you’ll get an alert from our system. The latter won’t replace/disable anything automatically and without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each and every semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will allow you to configure a catch-all e-mailbox with ease even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you’ve set up using your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you’ve already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you don’t want the feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
